Biography:
Allyson Goldin Loomis specializes in teaching creative writing and contemporary literature. She is currently an associate professor and Director of Graduate Studies at University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from the University of Montana and bachelor degrees in English Literature and Philosophy from Boston University. Her own work has been published in numerous magazines including" Glimmer Train," "The Madison Review," "The Black Warrior Review," and "Harper’s," and she’s been granted awards for her work from organizations such as The Wisconsin Arts Board, The Virginia Council Colony for the Arts and The Hambridge Center. In the past, she served as a fellow with the Wisconsin Institute for Creative Writing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
