Biography:

Karyn Saemann is the owner of Inkspots, Inc., an independent, print and online writing and editing service in Deerfield, Wisconsin. 

Karyn is also the full-time managing editor of the Cambridge News & Deerfield Independent, a weekly community newspaper in south-central Wisconsin. 

Inkspots provides a wide range of services that meet the needs of independent authors: manuscript critiques, developmental editing, copy editing, and website content writing. Current Inkspots clients include award-winning regional authors. 

Karyn is an award-winning published author. Electa Quinney, Stockbridge Teacher, released in 2014 by the Wisconsin Historical Society Press, won a 2015 bronze Moonbeam medal in the category of multicultural, non-fiction chapter book. She is currently working on her second book for the Wisconsin Historical Society Press. 

Karyn is a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association, the Midwest Writers Association, and the Chicago Writers Association.

Karyn has 25 years of professional writing and editing experience and has a journalism degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison ('93).
